Jaysen Paulson Hawthorne is a practicing astrologer, health educator, medicine maker, community organizer, speaker and teacher. Raised in a racially integrated family in Detroit, he began studying astrological basics in 1995. His professional background was in Retail Management, Restaurant Management and Business Ownership until 2009, when he decided to leave the professional world to go back to school and to develop his astrological practice and community.

Since 2009, JayP has been active in the Astrology community, serving for 5-years on the volunteer board as Secretary, Media Director and Vice President of the Oregon Astrological Association. JayP has also worked for Find An Astrologer.comAssociation For Astrological Networking, several high-profiles astrologers and launched his long-running and highly-subscribed spiritual, wellness and astrologically-focused podcast Cosmophilia. JayP's astrologically-focused work has been featured at Portland Plant Medicine Gathering Conference, Lost Secrets of Renaissance Medicine Conference, the Herb Shoppe, Clary Sage Herbarium, Oregon Astrological AssociationPortland Art Museum, Portland State University, Reed College and has written housing horoscopes for trulia.comHe began seeing clients in 2011.

JayP has formally studied Japanese language at Hokkaido University, Western Herbal Medicine at Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine and The Traditional School of Western Herbalism with Matthew Wood, completed a B.S. in Public Health: Community Health Education from Portland State University and is currently studying at Blue Iris Mystery School with Colette Gardiner. He is currently co-writing a book with former PSA teacher Jen Gouvea titled 'Plants & Planets: Herbal Medicine, Flower Essences and Astrology.'

Rhea Wolf

Rhea Wolf is a feminist, witch, astrologer, writer, and mother whose life purpose is to help people awaken their inherent creativity, activate their authentic selves and deepen their connections to the larger world. Rhea is motivated by a vision of an emerging culture based on respect, beauty, justice and relatedness.

Rhea Wolf has been a workshop facilitator for over twenty years, bringing creative writing, theater arts, pagan spirituality, and The Work that Reconnects to a variety of groups, including at-risk youth and women in prison. During her Saturn Return, she began her journey as a practicing astrologer. Rhea has worked for nonprofits like Write Around Portland and has been a performing artist her entire life. She has a BFA in Theater Performance from Wichita State University, and completed her Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies at Marylhurst University in 2017. 

Since 2000, Rhea has trained extensively with world-renowned author Joanna Macy, becoming a facilitator of the The Work That Reconnects, which helps people awaken to their power as conscious healers and activists in service to the life-sustaining power of the Earth. Rhea is also a trained priestess of Colette Gardiner's Blue Iris Mystery School, from which she graduated in 2009.

She is the author of The Light That Changes: The Moon in Astrology, Stories and Time, and several zines and chapbooks on witchcraft and poetry. Her articles have appeared in The Mountain Astrologer, hipMama, MUTHA, Perspectives and VoiceCatcher.

Rhea’s passion for astrology began in childhood when she was given an impromptu tutorial of the zodiac by her hippie teen-aged babysitter. She remembers feeling a sense of wonder and also familiarity. Rhea brings her love of the Earth, the spirit of wonder, and her desire to deepen relationships to all that she does. She enjoys helping people find ways to claim more beauty and magic in their daily lives.

Andrea L. Gehrz

Andrea L. Gehrz is an astrological scholar. Andrea has been a practicing astrologer and psychic channel for over 10 years and has lectured to countless groups on the uses and mechanism of Astrology. Andrea regularly reads the Ephemeris, hand draws charts, reads the bible in ancient Greek, hosts her radio show the Astrological Detective (currently produced by PSA), and teaches Astrology to anyone who will listen. A Kepler College graduate, she has spent her time reading and translating ancient Greek astrological texts in order to bring back the ancient and magical study of Astrology.

Andrea spends her days writing and running the Moira Press, a publishing company dedicated to the resurrection of ancient knowledge of all kinds. Here, she has published her pivotal textbook Astrological Remediation: A Guide for the Modern Practitioner, A Wonderbook of True Astrological Case Files (co-authored along with Judith Hill), and her own English rendering of Vettius Valens: Book One, Vettius Valens: Book TwoAn Introduction to the Tetrabiblos: Porphyry of Tyre, and Ensoulment.

Andrea loves doing consultations as well as astrological research, and her current interests are astrological remediation, the astrology of relationships, children’s readings, addiction relief through astrology, and the intricate timing of everyday life in order to optimize the energies of the chart. Andrea Gehrz is also a musician, sign language interpreter and a mama, currently living in North Portland.

Zyon Gray

Zyon comes from a matrilineal line of clairvoyants going back many generations in West Africa. As a small child, he remembers watching relatives read playing cards on the beach of Monrovia, Liberia. African traditions and spiritual practices have always been an active part of his life.
After careers in the US military and law enforcement, Zyon a previously self-taught astrologer, moved to Minnesota during a Saturn cycle and began a serious study of astrology. His special interests include location, local space charts, ancestral astrology and developing antidotes to difficult aspects.
Using the tools of astrology, reiki, shamanism, candle work, and mediumship, Zyon has developed a unique healing practice. By focusing on the common activities of daily living Zyon brews patterns that emerge into practical application his clients can use to change their lives. Zyon feels that the pathologies and broken DNA that accumulate over generations can be healed through discovering and speaking the hidden truth, and applying ritual to daily life.

Miss Renee is a born empath, trained and certified reiki energy balancer, as well as a professional tarot card reader and spiritual astrologer of 24 years. I believe that knowing what it is we need to heal ourselves is innate and I feel called to a life of spiritual service helping people who are in intense crossroads in their lives find their way back on to their path with the gifts and tools I have been given and have honed over the years.  

I have a deep LOVE for helping my clients understand that their astrological birthchart is literally what I call the" Map of You". I believe that you can powerfully and magically impact your life once that info is unlocked and translated and you begin to utilize that information with confidence, competence and faith.


Lauren Sage Balin, MA

Lauren Sage Balin first became interested in astrology in the 1970's. Over the years she learned from a variety of talented astrologers, most recently receiving a Certificate in Evolutionary Astrology from Steven Forrest. Lauren Sage Balin also has a degree in Humanistic/Transpersonal Psychology and a Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University, and was a teacher for two decades. Now, Lauren has a full time astrology practice and lives in Southwest Portland. Consultations, classes, and workshops are the synthesis of many years of study, continued professional growth and experience in the field of psychological and spiritual astrology.

Lauren is a Sagittarius Sun, Capricorn Rising, Cancer Moon and North Node in Capricorn.

Aubrie De Clerck is a career coach and astrologer who helps people open doors to a lifetime of fulfilling work. Known for being highly inspirational and deeply practical, she delights in bridging two of her favorite tools and worlds in a way that opens up possibilities.  

Her own connection to astrology happened in her late 20’s, when she found that every part of her life being turned upside down was no accident and wasn’t forever - it was her Saturn Return. Since then, astrology has given Aubrie comfort in the unknown and an avenue for greater self acceptance, things she loves bringing to her clients as well.  

As a career coach, Aubrie has over 9 years of experience in corporate, non-profit and education environments and is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.  As an astrologer, she is proud to have completed an apprenticeship with Emily Trinkaus at The Alcyone School for Engaged Astrology.  Aubrie was featured in Willamette Week’s 2012 Best of Portland as “Best Cosmic Career Coach” and named of one of the 100 Most Powerful Women 2007 by Northwest Women’s Journal.   She works full time in her private practice, Coaching for Clarity, in Portland, OR and is available to work with clients and give talks/workshops in any location.

Iris Mae Misciagna

Iris Misciagna is an artist, tarot reader, teacher, and priestess. She is a graduate of the Blue Iris Mystery School and currently works there as a student teacher and ritual priestess. She has been practicing the craft for 15 years and teaching for 7. Using the language of symbols, she creates divination tools, magical essences, and altar art. Her artist’s heart, connection to faerie, and work with the animal council strongly influence her work as a priestess.

Corina Dross is a consulting astrologer, writer, artist, and activist. She writes horoscopes for Autostraddle, Into, and Mask Magazine. She has taught astrology from an intersectional and queer lens since 2010, and offers an Astrology 101 online class whose focus is the healing and emancipatory powers of astrology.

Demetra George, MA

Demetra George is a professional astrologer who received her Masters degree in Classics from the University of Oregon. She has been active in astrology since 1971, and in 2002 she received the renowned Regulus Award in Theory and Understanding. Specializing in archetypal mythology and ancient techniques, she is the author of Asteroid GoddessesAstrology for YourselfMysteries of the Dark MoonFinding Our Way through the Dark, andAstrology and the Authentic Self.

Demetra lectures internationally and since 1992 has facilitated educational pilgrimages to the sacred sites of Greece, Egypt and India. She is currently translating a corpus of Hermetic medical astrological texts from ancient Greek.

Demetra is the director of Thema: Foundations in Astrology which offers mentoring and individually tailored personal instruction in all levels of astrological education: the fundamentals of interpretation, chart delineation, Hellenistic astrology, mythic asteroids, and ancient Greek for astrologers. She has taught the history of astrology at Kepler College and the University of Oregon, and lives in Eugene, Oregon.

Takahiro Yamamoto, MA

Originally from Shizuoka, Japan, Takahiro is an artist based in Portland, working specifically in dance performance, sculpture, and photography. His practice is sociological and observational. It formally and metaphorically investigates intricacies in exposing performer’s idiosyncratic beings on stage such as physical qualities, emotional states, habitual behaviors, and expression of spontaneous thoughts. Both of his performance productions and visual art works have been shown in St. Paul, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland, Montpellier, Juneau and Anchorage, and internationally in Nairobi, Stockholm, and Tokyo.

He holds a master of fine arts degree in Visual Studies at Pacific Northwest College of Art. Taka co-directs a performance company madhause, and is a part of Portland-based support group Physical Education.

Jessica Lanyadoo

Gary Lorentzen, MA

Gary Lorentzen has been a student and practitioner of astrology since 1972. He has a degree in Buddhist Studies from The Evergreen State College, a degree in History and a Master’s degree in Medieval Germanic Linguistics and Literature from the University of Washington. He was a founding board member for Kepler College and was responsible for the development of the Curriculum and Instructional Design and negotiations with the State for approval to offer a Bachelor’s Degree in Astrological Studies. He has been the president of both the Washington and Oregon Astrological Associations and is currently doing research in Astro-History.  Over the years he has authored numerous articles, some of which you can find on his website.

Ian Waisler

Ian Waisler is primarily a self-taught astrologer, who began offering consultation in 2005. He has also been teaching Integral Hatha Yoga since 2002. He delights in sharing the healing gifts of these languages/practices with all who inquire. Instigator of the Queer Astrology projects, including conferences in 2013, 2015 and 2017, he also toured the QA Roadshow gathering model in 2016. He serves as president of the San Francisco Astrological Society. 

His toolbox draws from in a BA in linguistics, some years practicing Alexander Technique, a semi-encyclopedic jukebox of popular music lyrics. He’s known for his lustrous Taurean voice, which speaks and harmonizes with cosmic truth. His consulting and teaching aims to draw upon a hands on component, foregrounding the quiet & deep of the physical body, alongside our verbal knowing.
