What level Astrology student are you?

Novice:

this person would consider themselves completely unfamiliar with the language of Astrology. This person has no idea what a planet, house, sign or aspect is and cannot remember or does not know their Sun, Moon or Rising sign. This person has no familiarity with the glyphs (symbols), archetypes and cannot make sense of looking at a chart. Our most popular Novice class is Astrology for Newbies which runs at the beginning of each term. The 1st-Year Program is also suitable for the Novice student.

Beginner:

this person knows what the houses, planets, signs and aspects are but does not necessarily have their meanings committed to memory. This person knows when they are looking at an Astrology chart and can identify a few things whether it be symbols, or planets together (conjunction aspect) or planets in certain houses or signs. This person may not know much about history, philosophy or ethics in Astrology. This person may lack confidence and needs more practice. Many classes are suitable to the Beginner student including the 1st-Year Program.

Intermediate:

this person knows the houses, planets, signs and aspects and has their meanings committed to memory. This person is able to look at a chart and perform some sort of synthesis or extract meaning from the symbols. This person has all the symbols memorized and can recite some information in philosophy, history, technique and knows something about different Astrological orientations such as Evolutionary Astrology, Hellenistic Astrology, etc. This person may lack confidence and needs more practice. Many classes are suitable to the Intermediate student including the 1st-Year Program and the 2nd-Year Program.

Advanced:

this person is typically at the consultation level or may have been doing consultations for a number of years. This person has a highly evolved sense of ethics, philosophy and experience compared to the Intermediate. This person has knowledge in in philosophy, history, technique, celestial mechanics and understands different astrological orientations such as Evolutionary Astrology, Hellenistic Astrology, Cosmosbiology, etc. This person may have a speciality and may write a blog, or be an author, speaker or a teacher or be contributing to the field of Astrology in another way. We do offer many Advanced classes each term. Please check the listings in the Quarterly Term Schedule. While some content in the 1st-Year Program might be a bit of repeat, it is open to the Advanced student. The 2nd-Year Program is also open to Advanced students who are able to demonstrate their knowledge.

All of our classes in the Quarterly Term Schedule have a level listing on them. Please see if you would feel comfortable in them. Our 1st-Year Program is a Novice to Intermediate program. Our 2nd-Year Program is a suitable to Intermediate to Advanced Astrologer or to a student who has completed our 1st-Year Program.
