You may be an ideal candidate for an upcoming scholarship with the Portland School of Astrology!
Announcing the 1st-Year Astro Empowerment scholarship through the Jen Gouvea Memorial Fund for the upcoming 2017-2018 School Year. We are offering a $500 scholarship toward the tuition of the 1st-Year Program for people who identify in marginalized communities in Portland or surrounding Portland areas.
Requirements when applying for the scholarship:
Applicants must be able to attend the entire 1st-Year Program (double check all upcoming dates).
Applicants must live in the greater Portland, Oregon area.
Applicants must identify as a member of a community that is largely marginalized or disenfranchised.
Applicants must be able to produce some sort of wrap-up piece about your experience of the 1st-Year Program for PSA to share with the greater community at large, such as a blog post, photo essay, video, presentation, etc.
Applicants must apply to the 1st-Year Program and have an interview with the administrator to determine if PSA and the student are a good fit.
Favorable consideration for:
Applicants who can demonstrate how they are working to create positive change in the world.
Applicants who work closely with marginalized or disenfranchised communities in some way.
Applicants who have a clear vision of what they want to do with knowledge learned from PSA, after completing the program.
June 8th: Announcement of the Jen Gouvea Memorial Scholarship for the 2017-2018 School Year.
August 8th: Last day to apply for the scholarship by midnight.
August 22nd: Recipient will be notified before this date.
